Hiring: Account Manager

As an Account Manager at Foundation, you’ll need to be hipster at heart, but able to dress the B2B part on occasion. Mind you, we aren’t box pushers. Sharks need not apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management (65%)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, assisting to coordinate technical resources and being available for feedback on service.
  • Regularly conduct onsite visits to understand client IT goals and develop strategies to meet those goals.
  • Communicate effectively in a variety of ways, including written and verbal avenues.
  • Proactively identify hardware needs and advise on responsible lifecycles for replacement of critical infrastructure.

Project Oversight and Coordination (20%)

  • Create quotes and Statements of Work outlining licensing, hardware, and labor for completing client Projects.
  • Monitor ongoing projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
  • Communicate progress and updates to clients, managing expectations effectively.
  • Address and resolve any project-related issues or concerns in collaboration with the technical team.

Business Development and Growth (10%)

  • Collaborate on new clients, preparing documentation to successfully onboard them for service.
  • Develop proposals and deliver presentations to new and current clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends to recommend relevant service offerings.

Administrative and Reporting (5%)

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on account status, project progress, and financial metrics.
  • Participate in internal team meetings to ensure alignment across departments.

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience in building direct relationships with other businesses
  • Real experience with large projects without losing sight of the small things
  • Understanding of technology, with emphasis on mobility
  • The ability to turn complex ideas into simple solutions
  • A desire to inspire the creative work of others
  • A love for pure chaos

Work Environment

While performing the responsibilities of the Account Manager’s job, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the Account Manager will encounter. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, with occasional bad 80’s music.

While performing the responsibilities of the Account Manager’s job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lifting boxes happens on occasion, maybe up to 40 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Understanding Pantone is one thing, but seeing color is not a necessity.
