OPI
Creative workflow involves using high-resolution images that can bog-down systems, servers and printers. In an OPI environment, low-resolution images replace their high-resolution counterparts for placement in any page layout program.
During output images are switched on the fly from low-res to high-res with all of the changes intact. The Foundation's recommended solution is based on industry standard applications with integrated ColorSync support.
